What are SARMS?
SARMS are also known as Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators. They were first used in the 1940’s for medical use while treating Cancer and other diseases which caused muscle depletion and bone wasting. It was soon-after discovered that SARMs do in fact have a strong effect on muscle building.
After the creation of non-steroidal SARMs in the 1990s they became heavily popular for bodybuilding, powerlifting, and other sports. When compared to steroids, non-steroidal SARMs pose much less of a risk and have proven to have little to no side affects as long as they are taken at the suggested dosage. However, unlike steroids, SARMS require longer cycles in order to see appropriate results.
Benefits of using SARMS?
- Avoid the unwanted side affects that come with the use of steroids.
- Increase muscle, decrease fat, better bone density.
- Cost affective solution when compared to steroids.
- Improved libido & mobility
- Helps fight back against some diseases and sicknesses
There are many benefits posed by SARMS however before using any specific one, it is important to research which ones are more likely to cause suppression, and which ones are likely to be the safest. Like every type of drug, certain variations will make your body react differently. Please read further into our learning centre and investigate any SARM you are considering.
How to use SARMs?
When using SARMs it is important to make sure that you are using them correctly. This is both for your own safety, and also for you to receive the best results.
SARMs are NOT meant to be taken through injection, transdermal methods, or sublingual use under the tongue. All 3 of the mentioned methods will cause discomfort, potential harm to users, and a lack of positive results. Transdermal use of SARMs has also been said to cause rashes and itchiness amongst other negative results.
The recommended way to utilize SARMs is through oral consumption. The most common method is to squirt the liquid into your mouth and follow that up with a juice or liquid that will wash it down. Another method is to simply take the SARMs straight down and follow it up with a fruit or any other substance which will replace the taste of the SARMs. The last method that you can follow, is mixing the SARMs into any type of juice or energy drink and consuming it in the form of a cocktail. Although many users are sometimes afraid of dilution, this is not something to be worried about when consuming SARMs following the above methods.
Side affects of SARMs?
The average individual using SARMs, will not encounter any side affects if they are using the substance in a reasonable amount and for a short period of time.
For those that do not follow the recommended dosage and time span for consumption, the following side affects are possible :
Suppression of natural testosterone : What this means, is that your body has a hard time creating testosterone on its own, after the use of SARMs. The best way to avoid this is by ensuring you take on post-cycle therapy after completing your cycle of SARMs. Certain SARMs which are more anabolic than others, can often result in a higher likelihood of natural testosterone suppression.
Gynecomestia : This comes as a result of high estrogen levels within your body after a cycle of SARMs. Due to the 10:1 androgen ratio in SARMs, the likelihood of Gynecomestia problems, is much less than the likelihood when taking steroids. Estrogen levels within your body will not raise after a cycle of SARMs in most cases, when the recommended dosage and time-frame is followed. In the case that Estrogen levels are higher than normal after a cycle, anti-estrogen drugs like Nolvadex, Clomid, and Tribestan can help resolve such symptoms.
Baldness : Baldness is a side affect that many steroid users encounter due to steroids being very androgenic. SARMs users are not at a high risk of balding because SARMs are not very androgenic, thus making them safer than steroids from this perspective. However, like other side affects, the risk of balding can increase if recommended dosage is not followed.
Virilization : For female users of SARMs, it is important to note that they can cause a heavy development of masculine features even in female users. Keep in mind that this risk is only evident if there is a heavy usage of SARMs, above the recommended dosage in any female user.
Blurred vision : Some users of SARMs have reported that they encounter blurred vision during the use of SARMs. This is not a serious side affect to worry about. Users that encountered this side affect, noted that the side affect went away after the discontinuation of SARMs.
What is Post Cycle Therapy?
Like all users of steroids and SARMs, you too should have a PCT(Post Cycle Therapy) in place to normalize hormonal levels throughout your body. This includes estrogen levels which can sometimes be higher than normal following the use of SARMs. If you do not take the time to run through a PCT, you are at risk of serious side affects including Gynecomestia.
If you’ve ever used steroids before, you’ll know that steroid users require a very intensive PCT to regulate their hormonal levels after a cycle. This is something which deters users from trying steroids. In the case of SARMs, the PCT is something you should have in place, however it is only needed on a case by case basis depending on user circumstances, and it is nowhere near as intense as the PCT related to steroid use.
The Post Cycle Therapy would include the use of Nolvadex or Letrozole in most cases, however depending on your particular case, a consultation session with one of our professionals can help you articulate the best PCT for your specific circumstances.
